Leah Serfaty 

Media Assistant 

Leah Serfaty is excited to be joining JCK Camps for her second summer as their Photographer and Videographer for the summer. She is currently studying Digital Photography/Videography at Durham College. Leah is a youth leader that runs programs for all age kids though out the year, also she has worked at Jewish camps for several years. One of the main reasons for her going in to the field of Art Media and Design stemmed from a passion of taking photos and videos of kids at camps or any event/programs she attended. Leah is looking forward to meeting everyone and having an amazing summer at Jewish Creative Kids!


Joanna Elmaleh

Musical Theatre Director- Artsy Girls

Joanna Elmaleh is a graduate of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. She also holds a diploma in ECE from George Brown College and is a Registered Early childhood Educator. She is very excited to be back at Artsy girls running the specialty theatre program for the second summer. With her combination of theatre experience and Early childhood experience she loves the opportunity to teach children about the theatre world and having them discover their creativity! She believes that theatre can have a strong impact on helping children to build on their self-confidence and self-esteem. She is looking very forward to working with your children this summer.

Leonora Buskin

Art Specialist

Leonora Helen Buskin is a visual arts educator whose aspiration in life is to share her passion for art with others. She is a strong believer that the arts serve as a means of self-exploration, experiential learning, cultural programming and community building. She is well known to facilitate art workshops in Toronto’s Jewish community. Her vision is to inspire Jews of all backgrounds to explore their heritage through art making and art appreciation. During the summer of 2016, Leonora was heavily involved with the planning and preparation of the Ashkenaz Festival – the largest showcase of global Jewish arts and culture in North America! Utilizing all the experience and the skill set she has acquired up to this point, Leonora can't wait to lead arts programming at JCK Camps in 2017!​


Shoshana Sherrington

Drama Specialist

Shoshana is a fun-loving writing student at York University. She has always loved the creative arts that take place both behind the scenes and on stage. For the past two years Shoshana has brought her performing passion forward by creating and running the drama program at Eitan Breakaway daycamp. She looks forward to continuing to encourage campers to find their performing talents at JCK Camps this summer!


Myriam Weinstein

STEM- Science Specialty at Camp



As a psychology student at York University researching infant cognitive development, Miryam is passionate about all-things science. When she isn’t cramming for biology, physiology and psychology exams, she looks forward to days spent in the lab getting to know the world’s cutest participants - three month old babies! She is also a graduate of Seneca College’s Creative Advertising program and worked as an award-winning copywriter for some of Toronto’s top-tier advertising agencies. As a past Camp Eitan and Ahava camper she is excited to return after so many years - to an action-packed summer inspiring the next generation of women in STEM!


Elisheva Rosenblum

 Head Counsellor/ Specialist- Preschool Viewmount

Elisheva/Ellie Rosenblum is a recent graduate of tiferes bais yaakov. She is 18 years old and will soon be going to seminary in Israel. She enjoys painting, and baking in her free time. She volunteers for Bikur Cholim, and camp HASC, loves working with children and has been a counsellor for over 6 years. She also runs youth groups at Shomrai shabbos synagogue for grades 1-4. Elisheva is looking forward to a great summer ahead with JCK Camps!​


Elisa Alloul

Leadership Camp Division Head

Elisa Alloul will be joining JCK Camps this summer as the division head of the leadership camp! Elisa loves all things dance, Israel, travel, and Judaism. When she is not teaching a dance program during the school year or dancing at a bat mitzvah, she is studying Psychology and Public Administration at York University. Elisa is so excited for an amazing summer with the JCK leadership girls camp! 


Ariella Swissa

JCK KidZone (JK/SK)

Preschool Division Head

Ariella Swissa is very excited to be joining the JCK team for her first year .She is has a wide array of experience working with children. Ariella has worked in day camps for 8 years. She has also worked in the preschool division at Bais Yaakov and is currently a Grade 4 English teacher at Bais Chaya Mushka. Ariella is looking forward to meeting all of the different campers and to see their growth as the sessions progress . She has a love for arts and is looking forward to watching every child to shine in their own unique way. She c'ant wait to meet your children this summer!


Ronit Zahler

Director- Preschool Viewmount/ Specialist

  Ronit is privileged to have worked hands on with children in a variety of settings for over 15 years. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from George Brown College and a BA in Sociology from York University. Ronit is a Certified Child Life Specialist and is currently back in school to obtain her Masters in Child Life.​

Ronit’s love of camping runs deep. Having been exposed to a plethora of camping experiences as a child, she believes that an enriching and playful summer camp experience can change a child’s life. With a deep-seated passion for designing innovative programming- Ronit loves nothing more than to team up with the kids and staff as they act silly, have fun, be active and get messy!

She believes that the magic happens when the emphasis of play and exploration is focused on the process and not the product and therefore harnesses her creativity in an effort to deliver recreational programs that will nurture each child’s unique personality and interests. Additionally, in drawing on the abundance of her acquired knowledge and experience in supervisory positions in the field; she continuously aims to foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all of the children in her care.

When not busy working, Ronit enjoys hobbies such as reading, listening to music and painting as well as hanging out at home with her two boys- Aryeh and Hillel; aged 6 and 3. She is very excited to get started and is honored to have been given the opportunity to join the Jewish ​Creative Kids team!

Kidzone Preschool Camp @ Viewmount is going to be awesome and Ronit can’t wait to meet your children this summer! 


Rachel Levy

Artsy Girls Head Counsellor


Rachel is an experienced educator, singer and leader of creative arts programming for children. She has performed at Roy Thompson hall with her choir and performs with her choir at venues in the GTA. In 2012, Rachel completed her Masters in Education from OISE at The University of Toronto. She teaches in International Baccalaureate schools in Toronto and has worked for Artsy Girls in 2015 as our director and in 2016 as a vocal and Drama coach. Rachel is super excited to lend her vocal and Drama skills to the play and camp with additional on site coaching for the girls as well as being head counsellor of the Artsy Girls.


Rina Shainhouse

Program Director & GirlZone/Specialty Division Head

Musical Theatre Choreographer

Rina Shainhouse wears many hats at JCK Camps! She's our energetic and Creative GirlZone Division Head & Assistant Program Director, as well as choreographer for the Artsy Girls Musical. Rina has a BFA in Dance and is an Ontario Certified Teacher, currently working with Eitz Chaim Schools. With years of camp experience and an infectious positive energy, we are thrilled to have her join us for another successful summer!


Naomi Benmergui

Adminstrative Coordinator


Naomi is excited for her first summer at JCK Camps. She has experience working at camps and in accounting and is looking forward to combining her skills here this summer. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Commerce at the Ted Rogers School of Management. Naomi is looking forward to an incredible summer and to meeting all of the JCK campers and families!​


Blimi Alice

Adminstrative Coordinator

Blimi is excited to be joining the JCK team this summer. She recently completed her first year at McGill University, where she is pursuing a B.Ed.  Blimi loves to bake, read,  and hang out with friends. Her experience with children includes working in Youth groups in Shul, overnight camp and day camps. She is looking forward to a great summer and meeting all the campers and families! ​​


Keri Roth

Co-Founder & Camp Director 


As Camp Director @ JCK Camps, Keri looks forward to days filled with creativity, action, and adventure. Keri brings a wealth of experience in both education and the arts. She earned her Specialized Honours Degree in Communications and is an Ontario Certified Teacher (B.Ed.OISE/UT).​ Keri is the founder of NeshamaDANCE  & Event Entertainment, (now JCK Entertainment) and the Co-Founder of Jewish Creative Kidz. She is passionate about provi​ding arts & active programs for the Jewish community. Well known by kiddies far and wide, as "Morah Keri" Keri has taught dance and Zumba for all ages throughout Toronto, in Seville, Spain and Jerusalem, Israel. Keri is also the proud mommy to 3 JCK's, Meira, Shoshana & Yehuda!


Vered Benchetrit

Co-Founder & Administrative/Marketing Director


Vered is an enthusiastic and passionate entrepreneur with a wide array of experience working with youth. She loves to dance, sing, travel and laugh! :) Vered is extremely motivated in helping youth reach their potential and highly believes that the Arts are an incredible tool in helping children develop their self- esteem and self-expression. She r​ecently completed her Thesis at York University exploring " The Benefits of Integrating Artistic Expression in the Orthodox Jewish Community." Her greatest joy is seeing each child shine in their own way! Vered is the​ Co-Founder of Jewish Creative Kidz and is well known as DJ VB Rose, one of the only female DJ's in the Jewish community. Vered is also currently working on a number of other entrepreneurial projects which she hopes to launch in the next couple of years!
