FAQ Refund Policy
Please read through our refund policy carefully as we have made some updates to the policy due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
This policy has been updated as of September 10th, 2020.
Once you have registered and paid for a program you have reserved your child's spot.
There are no refunds once you have registered and paid for your child.
However, there are specific exemptions so please review below.
Are there refunds due to a Covid-19 shutdown?
In the event that we are forced to completely shut down a program such as a PD day program, winter camp or summer camp program there will be a 50% prorated refund at the time of the shutdown and a 50% prorated credit for a future program.
Unless mandated by government laws, JCK reserves the right to decide if a program is required to be shut down or not.
If my child gets sick but I don't know if it's Covid-19- Do I receive a refund?
In the event of a hospital medical emergency you will receive a full refund (Medical note will be required).
You will receive a full refund for days missed if we have evidence that your child has tested positive for Covid-19 and has to now self quarantine for two weeks.
We will issue a 50% credit towards a future program if your child is unwell for reasons other than Covid-19 (i.e symptoms related to Covid-19 (such as a cold or fever).
Your child will be able to return to the program once they are feeling better or as soon as you receive a negative result for a Covid-19 test. JCK reserves the right to determine whether a child can attend a program. Temperature checks will also verify this (Please inquire about our health and safety protocol).
My child is unhappy in their group or did not enjoy their first day. Can I get a refund?
While JCK will do their best to ensure your child's experience will be better in the following days (once we receive your feedback) there are no refunds for programs or camps since your child has taken a spot. Unlike a medical emergency we do not consider this a grounds for refunds or a credit . We will continue to make sure we can improve your child's experience to the best of our ability.
The program is not a fit for my child. Can I get a refund?
While JCK will do their best to ensure your child's experience will be better in the following days once we receive your feedback there are no refunds for programs or camps since your child has taken a spot. We will look into possible solutions for how we can make the program a better fit.
Unlike a medical emergency we do not consider this a grounds for refunds or a credit . We will continue to make sure we can improve your child's experience to the best of our ability.
If I register my child for summer 2021 and camp does not run on site- Will I receive my non-refundable deposit?
We will be capping our registrations for summer 2021 for an on site program so we recommend registering early so you do not miss your spot. If we are able to proceed with higher numbers from our rental facility or based on government updates we will inform our parents.
As such when you pre-register your child you are reserving their spot in the 2021 season. In the event that we cannot run an on site program your $150 registration fee will be issued as a credit towards our alternative programs for the 2021 season (JCK in your Backyard, Art in a Bag, Night Camp).
